This robust, versatile plough, with its ease and simplicity in operation has made a positive mark in the rehabilitation of pastures in South Africa. The two models imported to S.A. (5 & 7 tine) are ideally suited for tractors from 75 to 120kw. The Yeomens 22” tine fitted to the frame has a Ø12.7mm shear pin fitted to ensure a tip break force between 3 and 3.5 tons. This, coupled with a strong 16” coulter fitted in front of each tine, will enable the tine to rip through the toughest of soils at a maximum working depth of 300mm. The models *FF and FB allow for either a ‘Leaf-spring’ or ‘Hydraulic’ auto protection and for ‘Manual’ or ’Hydraulic’ furrow width adjustments ranging from 10” to 20”. A range of optional equipment such as: Hydraulic first furrow width adjustment, Depth wheels, Skimmers, Trash boards, Disc and slatted mould-boards, but to mention a few, can be fitted as a standard. The ROVIC Range of finger harrows and rollers are designed to complement our range of Trash Handicults and Fieldspans to prepare a fine seedbed, as well as our SUPER and DLB range of Chisel Ploughs, Rippers and Deep rippers to break down clods formed by breaking soil vertically.

Trash Handicults and Trash Fielspans van either be equipped with Finger Harrows in a low clay soil to assist in final seedbed preparation, or with seedbed rollers when preparing seedbeds in medium to high clay soils. In conditions where a very smooth seedbed is required, the combination of seedbed rollers and finger harrows on the Trash Fieldspans are available for certain models.

In certain soil conditions it might even be ample to mount finger harrows or seedbed rollers to the DLB 12 Chisel Plough or SUPER / DLB 19 Ripper.

Following the success of the tried and tested SUPER/DLB-19 tines and the persistent dealer/customer demand, the new Super-25 and Super-32 Deep Ripper tine with an optimum working depth of 650mm and 800mm respectively has been launched. (Like its predecessor it has also set a president in the S.A. soil ripping industry) The tine with its advanced steel curing process, coupled with a sophisticated tine production method, ensures optimal strength under the most adverse conditions.

Its success can be attributed to the fact that in more than one way it is a replica of the SUPER 19 tine with the exception that it is bigger and has two leaf packs stacked one above each other. The Rovic Shearer range of Rip-on-the-row Implements, with their new and improved Super & DLB 19 tines (Formally known as the Super & DLB18 tines) have once again set a president in the SA soil ripping industry. On both tines, the advanced steel curing process, coupled with a sophisticated tine production method, ensures optimal strength under the most adverse conditions, right up to the maximum working depth of 475mm. The unique leaf-spring trip-mechanism on the tines (no shear-bolt), with its minimum breakout force of 800kg, is ideally suited to handle any tough stony working conditions. (By including another leaf spring, breakout can be increased to 1 060kg.)

The Rovic-Shearer range of Chisel plough implements, with the tried and proven “DLB 12” tine, is ideally suited for the tough adverse conditions found on the African continent. The advanced steel curing process, coupled with a sophisticated tine production method, ensures optimal strength under the most adverse conditions, right up to the maximum working depth of 300mm. The unique leaf-spring trip-mechanism on the tine (no shear-bolt), with its minimum breakout force of 630kg, ensures optimum working in tough conditions.  When the tine hits a rigid object, the leaf spring “arches” and thus trips the tine over the obstruction, while the rest of the tines remain at working depth in the ground. This simple yet effective trip-mechanism permits trouble-free working with little or no downtime (only two wearing parts).
